Last Night with Milt and Barbie

One of the hardest parts about moving involves saying good-bye to friends. We did just that last night over Chinese take out with Milt and Barbie Jones, our dear friends and ministry companions. Milt and Barbie brought so much wisdom, insight and Godly counsel into our lives and we know they will continue to have that same influence even across the miles. Milt wears orange everyday in support of finding a cure for AIDS as seen in this pic with Ian who is wearing his orange-striped pjs!

Flying to Williamsburg, VA

Reading up on flight safety tips

Exhausted from our 6:00 am flight

Watching a video to stay occupied :)

We recently flew to Williamsburg, VA for our second interview with Williamsburg Christian Church. We loved the city and are so excited that Fred was offered the role as lead minister. Though Ian has been flying regularly since he was four months old, he's finally starting to enjoy the flights and gets excited about being on an airplane.

Packing, Packing, and More Packing

Ian's contribution to the packing

As the move to Williamsburg quickly approaches, so does the organizing and packing of our house in Amarillo. It's been nice to purge our closets and relocate things I haven't seen in awhile, but I'm ready to put an end to the boxing, taping, and labeling that has consumed my days. Ian has been a big help, unloading any toys or books he finds already packed and enjoys using the boxes as an obstacle course while he rides his four-wheeler through our living room. He's been a champ during this process and we're hoping it carries through into next week as we hit the road to Williamsburg!

October Surprises

Not so sure about this pumpkin light

I love giving Ian holiday surprises and since October is here, so is Halloween! Ian woke up to a pumpkin full of goodies this morning, but I don't think he had any idea why! He hasn't stopped playing with his "scary cars" all morning and had his first taste of "marshmellow ghost" for a snack.

It's Time for Auburn Football!

Waiting for Auburn's opening game to begin

It's finally time to spend our Saturdays rooting for the Tigers again! Ian's learning to say "football" and recognizes our Auburn logo this season. Even though we can't be at the games, we still grill burgers and adorn ourselves in orange and blue. War Eagle!
